About

 Welcome to Garden & Reflections.

I’m Chidi — a counselor, mother, and gardener with roots in Eastern Nigeria and a garden in Oklahoma. This is my little corner where plants, memories, culture, faith, and everyday life meet.

I grew up in Eastern Nigeria (Naija), where many of the plants I now grow carried meanings I didn't fully appreciate at the time. Today, tending a garden in Oklahoma often takes me back to childhood memories, familiar foods, old stories, and places that somehow don't feel quite so far away when something familiar begins growing in the soil.

But the garden has also become a place of reflection. A stubborn plant teaches me about resilience. Roots remind me what it means to be grounded. A disappointing harvest changes the way I think about success. Birds, grasshoppers, Oklahoma heat, hailstorms, and sometimes my own mistakes have a way of turning ordinary garden moments into life lessons.

Some stories here are funny. Some are nostalgic. Some naturally lead me back to faith. Others are simply moments worth noticing.

Garden & Reflections is where I gather those stories. Welcome to my little corner beyond the therapy room, where plants, memory, culture, and faith meet.

I'm glad you're here.
